Holy Crap. You are telling me you were running all that and 1 GTX 285 wasn't enough?. I'm running with a Q6600 untouched(2.4), 4 gigs of ram, and an 8800GT VGA, and I figured an update from the 8800 to a GTX 260 and put the last 4 gigs of ram would put me over the top to run decent in fort.

It may be that one gtx 285 is enough i just want to test two to see if its just my ISP and that ill have to upgrade to the faster one with better upload and dl speeds.. and if so one goes into Satoko rig

ok so the difference between one and two gtx 285's is that u get faster load times between zones and a few fps in pve... however during pvp i still see only 9-12 fps.. so if ur looking for better fps in pvp two 285's wont help.. hope this research helps guess Satoko is getting the second one

Lymsleia, I was looking at both the Caviar Black(750gb) and Velociraptor(300). I saw the specs and the black has avg transfer of ~90 Mb/s and the Veloci runs ~103 Mb/s, does it really make a huge difference cause the Black is more than double the space and less than half the price(80/200)?

No noticable difference, barely minimal. Me and you both know that statistically Raptor is better but the small differences wont show with us. IMO it's better to get a few small capacity Caviar blacks and RAID0 them which would be cheaper and more cost effective. I just had bad luck with my HDD's as I had to RMA 2 of them shame the data had no back ups so I lost 80gb of music half of which is very scarce to find on the interwebz!

Upcoming changes are a 2nd monitor, another 2x2gb of dominators and a Corsair H50 enclosed water cooler. New mobo maybe too.
