(Not saying I've seen anyone in the legion that fits this, BUT)
Sometimes it is Impossible, to make a bad player good, I have come across quite a few that are completely hopeless.

A DKP system really does not take into account good or bad player either. The points are always awarded for showing up. Speaking as a person who tries my best to do my best (but not always as good as the younger kids at grasping all aspects of my character out of the gate), I do not believe I would be considered a great player, but certainly some one who tries to become great.
OMG.... don't think I agree with thisAgree with evrything said, and maybe we should switch Sprok there to the wise sage position - after all, basically everything that comes out of his mouth is sage like.... Catie will certainly tell you that alot of "Un-Sage" like things have come out of my mouth :P
Thats why I like Loot council best.
