    Default PAX Seattle

Hey just figured I'd see if anyone else is planning on going to the PAX convention in Seattle. I live pretty close (tacoma) and I'm planning on going myself. This is my first time since I just moved to the area, but it sounds like a blast. Some of my coworkers are going along.

if anyone is interested this is the site for it.... http://www.paxsite.com/

    It's taking place September 4-6

They'll prob be showing off a lot of new games coming out, I know Aion was displayed last year and some beta keys were given out.

anyway, let me know if anyone is thinking about going.

I know Jaffar will be going all three days. I won't be since I'm busy working that weekend.

Ugh I wish I could attend events like that, but I live in Alaska, and we don't get anything like that up here, and it is way too expensive to travel there.

That sucks... maybe you should start the world's largest Aion fan club up there? Then you could host something like PAX - just throwing out ideas.

So I pre registered for PAX recently and I checked back at the website and they updated the schedule.... and guess who's on it??? that's right...NCsoft.

here's what their part of the schedule says:

"Aion and the Evolution of the MMO genre
A major challenge facing MMOs today is that of wooing a global audience while remaining culturally relevant to all--delivering compelling gameplay and evolving a storyline that resonates with players around the world. Learn how NCsoft’s latest blockbuster MMO, Aion™, is addressing these challenges head on and helping to drive the evolution of the MMO genre. Key members of NCsoft’s Aion team will be on hand to talk and answer questions about the making of Aion and how it attempts to advance MMOs in a variety of areas including writing, emergent gameplay, and culturalization. We'll also be conducting a special giveaway for a select number of audience members to be revealed at the end of the panel; you don’t want to miss out on this opportunity!"

If I don't have to work I should be there for it... the "special give away" sounds interesting to me! I think it's funny that they call it the latest Blockbuster when it hasn't even released yet...but meh, guess they're looking at presales n such.

so anyway... you guys going should def make an attempt to check this out.
the schedule is listed here: http://www.paxsite.com/schedule.php

The Aion portion takes place early Friday afternoon.
I'll let you guys know if I'm able to make it.

I just got tickets for all three days thanks to Jaffar getting a paid trip till the beginning of school to visit his family in Arizona. So looks like I'll be joining in on this little contest, I think I might just have to stalk the Aion booth.
