Default Issue Concerning Our Server Israphel (Shall We Stay?)

Well there has been a topic early on today and I'm guessing it's something that a lot of the WoW folks know about. Read More Here"

    Israphel and Brazillians

Now if this does cause a problem (not saying I know the full matter or really wanting to avoid Brazillians or saying I don't like them) I'm down with having a vote if we should stay on Israphel or move to another server. We still have time to choose and I want to make everybody happy and at least get a shot at finding out what is right for our community.

You can continue the discussion there or here. Please vote too. I want everybody to contribute.

Strange how the topic comes first then the poll is done as soon as I'm done with it.

I don't plan on voting in this. This is all based on our community.

I have no clue about the BR thing... read the thread about it... but whatever. It won't matter what language they're speaking when we're own them in pvp.

Having a ghost server would suck though, but I think since this is one of the most popular servers, even if there are a bunch of BR there should be enough other people that it's not too big a deal. I say we wait it out and see how things go. who knows, lol... maybe they'll all roll asmo and we won't have to worry about it

Warsong was the #1 most populated server at WoW's launch. Queues would reach over 6 thousand people. That's just the queues. The BR population and not speaking english was enough to drive a good 80% of the english speaking population to different servers.

I understand the issue... but I'm the kind that doesn't worry about stuff until it happens. If there were people talking in another language and it bothered me, I'd put all of them on ignore, problem solved. I was never on that server on WoW and up till now haven't heard of the BR problem.

I realize that there's a possibility that it could affect the server, and I'm fine with us switching to a different one if everyone else wants to, I'm just saying that to me it's not a big deal. I can understand others wanting to avoid the possibility of joining a server that may at some point have issues.

I'm double-posting this because it looks like the discussion is on two fronts.

Also, a counter-point (this ISN'T the discussion-breaking type of thing, but simply something to think about):

It seems that many of the high(ish) pop servers will be facing this problem in their own way. For the EU servers, its the "Swed's", for Siel it is "Ruin" (granted they are ENGLISH speaking, but they are STARTING with 3-5 legions and the zerginess of that can be daunting), and now Israphel with the "Brazilians."

Is there truly any escape? And with Aion starting with as few servers as they are, it is likely ALL the severs will face this type of segregation to some degree.

Also, I researched this a little, but I still feel "in the dark" about it. So, my opinion may be flawed. Don't hate me if I don't completely understand the situation.

I voted on staying, btw. I have a hard time justifying leaving what feels like our home. We went through enough problems on the OB, and we persevered through that. Now we need to think about moving AGAIN!? This is in no way a refelction on all your genuine concerns, just the way I FEEL. And I understand many times feelings are irrelevant to the facts.

I like this statement. And it really is exactly that, was my concern is, is even if WE put up with it, how many are not going to, and how fast will the English speaking legions dip out, leaving English the minority?
