While the "Brazilian issue" is definitely a concern to me, it is also very important to me that we go to a sort of hybrid server - one that accomodates west-coast / late night players as well as the early east-coasters. One of my reasons for choosing Rising Dragoon, besides it's good active base of players is because I am not the only West coast player here. (or even the only late night player here, as I saw several people checking the site at 3am pacific time this morning

). But I digress...
I think we should consider the east coast servers where west coast / late players are still likely to go and play. There are a few factors that would make this more likely.
1) Are there lots of guilds going there with hybrid east - west populations? This is kind of challenging to determine.
2) Is it a really populous server? - The more people there are, the more likely there are people from numerous different time zones.
3) Is it the unofficial roleplay server? - West coasters will choose the unofficial roleplay server to play on
even if it is an east coast server, meaning there will be a healthy mix of people to play with at all times... Currently the discussion on Aion Source lists Zikel and Lumiel (both east coast), as the potential choices for labeling "roleplay".
And between Zikel and Lumiel,
Zikel is slated to be the better populated server (higher on the selection list, and more players committed to going there already).
Of course, there's a 4th consideration - will there be lots of Asmodian's there to kill? (this is a big one for me... I chose Israphel because there were a lot of opposition guilds going there, and I was looking forward to killing them all

)
