Many of you have been curious to learn what the names of the Aion servers will be at launch. We've listed the server names below along with their associated time zones. The servers are aligned to those time zones (e.g. affecting fortresses) so that players on the East Coast as well as those on the West Coast can have blocks of game time to play during each server's prime time. Daylight saving will apply at launch.

Before the start of preselection (which begins September 18, 2009), we will also give our fans from the Oceanic region the chance to take part in an online community poll where you can indicate what server you'd pick unofficially if you want to play with your friends and neighbors. We hope to show instant results in the poll so that you can see which server provides you the best chance to meet them.

We are going to post a similar community poll for roleplayers. We have decided not to officially tag servers as roleplaying servers and enforce specific rules on them. However, we do believe that roleplayers are an essential part of our community, and we support their initiative to claim their own unofficial roleplaying server. Aion gives you the ability to create your own chat channel, and we are already seeing a lot of roleplaying groups out there who are defining their own rules and building up their own communities. Take your time to organize your group before the poll goes live, and then pick the server that would give you the best chance to find players with the same roleplaying interests.

So hard! I'm in Central U.S. LOL, IDK which to pick!

I just can't vote yet. Being in Central U.S., I can go either way. I'll read discussion and vote later (but not too much later!).

Looks like we are all over the country (looked through profiles, about half shows where they are from, no obligations to those who didn't. don't put anything on the web that you are not comfortable with).

Go Go Israphel(west). We're all on at the same times anyway if OB was any indicator. Always have at least 16+ on during prime time anyway.

Not sure I understand how this effects fortresses, arnt they like every 2 hours or something?

Ugh, I have to think about this one too. I'm also central time so either things start happening before I get home and I join late, or things start later which I can join for the start but most likely won't be able to stay on as late as needed.

Hrm. I think I'd rather be late to be extra re-enforcement at the end :P However, that also doesn't guarentee me a spot in an alliance. >.<

I'm an early bird by nature, while my husbands a night owl and will stay up as late as needed. Soooooo, in the end, it really doesn't matter to me which time zone a server's in.

Pretty sure the keeps are only available to be captured at certain times.... not sure though.

That would actually be awsome. In war, the keep system... well... During the night hours 12am-4am, one side took ALL the keeps, during the early morning hours 4am-10am, the other side would sweep through them, both against no opposition. The rest of the day, it was a stand-off, or often a switch-off. One side would take one while the others were taking another, both undefended. Then they would switch and take back the said taken keeps.

I want Israphel too, Blacklilly! OB is my first participation, and despite all the downtime, it feels like my home. Still, whatever Ryo chooses, I will adapt to and it will eventually feel like home also.

I picked East b/c I am on the east coast, but I am pretty flexible honestly and I tend to play a little bit later once things get rolling post-launch, so I would probably be able to coordinate well with the CST people and occasionally with the PST people.... and weekends and during the day, it will always be a mixed bag of people anyway.

So really I'll go with whatever is decided and be content,

I vote Israphel (west). I tend to be on the most from 8pm to 2 am Pacific time.
